90% of the time, speakers of English use just 7,500 words in speech and writing. These words appear in red, and are graded with stars. One-star words are frequent, two-star words are more frequent, and three-star words are the most frequent.
Only use English to describe people who live in England and whose families come from England. Use Irish, Scottish, or Welsh to describe people who live in Ireland, Scotland, or Wales, or people who originally came from those countries but now live in England. If you do not know which of these countries someone is from, use British.
