The Macmillan School Dictionary CD-ROM contains all the
popular easy-to-use features of the Macmillan Essential Dictionary
CD-ROM along with links to a fully-searchable compendium of
curriculum vocabulary.
The Macmillan School Dictionary CD-ROM and website won the English Speaking Union President's Award
2004, awarded for the best use of free-standing new technology to enhance English teaching and learning worldwide. According to the English Speaking Union, 'the judges felt that the website was user friendly and accessible with comprehensive and interesting vocabulary lists. They enjoyed the moving graphics on the CD-ROM and found the games and sounds useful and explanatory.
