causing obesity (=a condition in which someone is too fat in a way that is dangerous for their health). Usually refers to a type of food or drink that results in obesity if consumed frequently or to excess.
Fast foods such as hamburgers, fish and chips, and sugary drinks can be obesive if taken regularly or in large quantities.
