The nominations stage of the competition is now completed. Voting is open from 13 January 2015 through to 9 February 2015. The winners will be announced on this page on 17 February 2015.

Is there anything new this year?

Yes! The fourth edition of the annual Love English Awards introduces a new category: Best Facebook page about the English language.

What can be won?

The winning entry in each category will win £100 in Amazon.co.uk vouchers. All winners and runners-up will also receive a Macmillan Dictionary Love English Awards badge for their blog/website/Facebook page.

Out of all people who nominate a blog, website or Facebook page, we will randomly select three lucky winners who can choose to receive as a prize either five eBooks from the Macmillan Education eBook store or a one-year subscription to onestopenglish, the number one website for English language teachers.

Things you need to know about the competition

The annual Love English Awards, hosted by Macmillan Dictionary, is a public voting contest where readers can nominate and cast their vote for their favourite website/blog/Facebook about the English language. It is a yearly event that is held from November to February.

Which websites/blogs/Facebook pages can be nominated?

The awards are designed to support websites/blogs/Facebook pages that are 'English language gems' where people go to learn more about English. They can be hosted in any language, as long as their main subject is the English language. They can be:

  • educational sites
  • teachers' blogs
  • resource sites
  • websites/blogs about words
  • inspirational/fun Facebook pages
  • or any other blog/website/Facebook page that encourages you to learn more about English!

Share your love and appreciation for your favourite blog/website/Facebook page and make sure that your favourite is nominated for the Love English Awards.
