singularrelative clause
pluralrelative clauses
  1. a subordinate clause that follows another clause and usually begins with words such as ‘who’, ‘which’, or ‘that’. Relative clauses give extra information about a person, thing, or situation in the preceding clause. For example in the sentence ‘From there you can see the whole city, which is beautiful at sunset’, ‘which is beautiful at sunset’ is a relative clause.
