What are red words?

The device switches on when the machine is being tested and off when it is operating normally, leading to higher levels of harmful emissions being produced than when the machine is being tested.

    This is the first time that VW has revealed how many of the 11m cars that were fitted with a defeat device to cheat emissions tests were in the UK.
