Pete is currently working as a Lecturer at Oxford Brookes
University, where he teaches on the English for University
Studies (EUS) course at ICELS (International Centre for
for English Language Studies)
Pete used to be the Teacher Training and Development Manager
for Linguarama
International. He is an ex-officio BESIG (Business
English Special Interest Group) committee member and with
Barney Barrett contributes to the CD-ROM/Internet
page. He writes the Reviews in brief column
which appears in the EL
Gazette.
Pete has given many presentations on technology-enhanced
language learning, notably at BESIG, IATEFL and TESOL conferences.
He is the co-author of The
Internet and Business English (Summertown)
which was Highly Commended in the ESU Duke of Edinburgh
Awards
2004.
Pete is currently writing his Masters dissertation for
his M.ED course in Educational Technology and ELT at Manchester
University. He is particularly interested in e-learning
and ways in which technology can support learning, and
